The story of REVÉS

Born in Siberia. Made in Spain.

It isn't born "thanks to." It's born "in spite of." In spite of starting from scratch, twice. In spite of transforming difficulties into identity. This is the story behind every piece. Every piece carries a part of that story. Not as a burden, but as strength.

1985 Omsk, Siberia

The starting point

Growing up in Siberia was not a limitation. It was a school. With few resources and a lot of cold, I learned early on that you can learn anything if you really need to. Accounting, sales, building with your own hands. But most of all, I learned to stand on your own two feet. To keep going when circumstances aren't easy. To find strength within, when there are no certainties outside. You can't count on everything being perfect. You can only choose to keep going.

The First Restart

Arriving in a city with nothing. And deciding that it works. I arrived in Moscow alone. I left my two-year-old daughter with her grandmother in Omsk with a promise: to come back for her when I could give her something more. The only task was to survive. There were times when I worked at three places simultaneously. At night in warehouses doing inventories. During the day in sales and consulting. I learned what was needed at each moment, without being too choosy. Renovations. Sales. Production. Supplements for the dairy industry. Building materials. A bakery. Clothing production. Different worlds, the same determination. And without realizing it, I was building something. Years later, that path became my own business. When you build from scratch with no guarantees, you understand that you can do it again anywhere.

The decision

There are moments when you can no longer stay in the same place. My position on the war in Ukraine was and is clear. After what happened, I understood that there were decisions that could not be postponed. It wasn't just about a country. It was about an internal choice. To stay or to be free. I chose to be free. Knowing what it meant. Leaving behind what was built. Starting again from scratch. Again. There are things that are worth more than stability.

The arrival

Three words: Hello. Thank you. Please. February 2023. My daughter and I arrived in Spain. No language. No network of contacts. With Google Translate as our only interpreter. Every conversation was an effort. Every gesture, a way to understand each other. The first few days teach you quickly. I learned about people's patience. Their openness. The humanity in simplicity. "Hello · Thank you · Please": Sometimes, that's enough to start.

To put down roots

Studying in a language you don't master is a way of not giving up. I enrolled in Public Management and Administration. At first, I understood only a fraction of what the professors were saying. It wasn't comfortable. But it was necessary. I didn't study more grammar — I simply had no choice but to speak, listen, and adapt. Day by day. This step wasn't just about education. It was a way of maintaining my self-confidence. Of proving to myself that I can do it.

REVÉS is born

I started sewing in Spain. I learned here. When we arrived in Spain, we each had one suitcase. I chose the clothes that meant the most to me—the ones that made me feel safe. The ones that, even with nothing else, reminded me who I am. Because there are clothes that do that. They support you. They bring you back to yourself. I had never sewn before. I had been in the fashion world, yes—in production, in sales. But creating with my own hands started here. REVÉS is not clothes I brought with me. It's clothes that were born from scratch. Like everything else. I wanted to create something that meant more than a garment. A feeling. Confidence. Strength. Identity. A piece that reminds you: you can rebuild yourself and move forward. That is REVÉS.
